Would you like to see many changes, none at all, or something in between? Just curious. Barococo (aka Sir Geoffrey Lancefield) |

That means Draconians instead of Dragonborn (regardless of the clever ideas I've seen on introducing the latter, Krynn doesn't need another draconic humanoid race), Kender instead of Halflings, and Gnomes with no connection to the Feywild for Tinker and "mad" gnomes alike. I'll leave to the designers how to handle the Eladrin/elf situation, though personally I like Cam Banks suggestions in the 4e 'Races of Ansalon' conversion. There is room for goblinoid characters, who were rising to greater prominence in the 3.5 material, and they could include other 'monster' races, but there should be no half-orcs or shifters, as neither orcs nor lycanthropes exist in Ansalon. I'm not saying that they shouldn't add ANY of the new races - - it wouldn't break anything to add in Goliaths, for example, who are insular enough to explain why no one has ever heard of them - - are perhaps are mistaken for half-ogres - - as long as the additions are tailored to make sense for the setting. On the other hand, if someone wants to rework the other continents to include the new races, I say go for it - - I like the fan content, but Adlatum doesn't seem all that differant from Taladas; the same variations on the same races - - arrogant elves, warlike minotaurs, cunning halflings, and meddling gnomes - - maybe they could use a few changelings or a Tiefling kingdom to shake things up? ![]() |
