I'm making up a batch of Avatars from artwork from the various editions of D&D (the last time I did this, I posted 400 to the FR forums!) This new batch is composed of many of the old DL artwork pieces, and I'm hoping to get the 'powers that be' to create a Dragonlance heading in the Avatars section.

Now, I just want to say up-front that I am not an DL fan per se, but I am a huge fan of the artwork. I was hoping that some 'true fans' would know of a good site to view high-res Dragonlance art.

My problem - While going through tons of old TSR art, I came across a picture entitiled 'Dragons of Light', which is supposedly Dragonlance. After much research, I found the real title (I think), and it is called Dragons of Desolation, and appeared on DL4 -

and also on the cover of the Art of Dragonlance product , both 1st and 2nd edition.

Normally I can find a high-res pic for use on the artist's site - in this case Keith Parkinson... but unfortunetly he doesn't have ANY TSR/WotC Art on his site (and he's done PLENTY).

Here's the thing - I probably couldn't make it into a decent avatar anyway, because the art is too dark. If I can get a higher resolution, I may be able to use parts of it.

Anyway, this has become a bit of an obssession at this point, because I read on some site that there is a tiny Tardis, Dr. Who, and k-9 painted into the picture!!!

THAT I have to see.
