Jul 20, 2013 15:52:27 Hey everyone. I just picked up two Dungeon Command packs. Seems pretty cool, but I do have a quick question. I might have just missed this in the rule book, but when it's time to pull a new creature card or order card, do you draw the cards at random, or do you get to choose the cards you want to use?

Jul 21, 2013 18:13:09 Start of the game, you draw your creature hand of 3 or so guys

then you pick which ones of those that you want to deploy, and their levels must add up to equal to or less than your leadership.

Then you draw back up to your full creature hand size which is 3 for most commanders. (say you put down two creatures, you would draw two cards from the top of your shuffled creature deck)

If your creature hand has guys that are too high level to deploy next turn, too bad, you have to wait until your leadership goes high enough (as it goes up by one each turn, at the start of your deploy phase) or until you lose some of your currently deployed creatures.

I'm still a little confused, though.
When it says in the Clean Up phase to draw back up to your creature hand -- which we'll say is 3 -- do you still have to the total level at or below your leadership level?

Only the creatures that you have deployed from your creature hand onto the board count toward your leadership total. Your creature hand is hidden from your opponent and is what you get to choose from when you go to deploy creatures at the end of your next turn.

Jul 25, 2013 14:35:37 When you deploy you reveal the creatures you want to play from your creature hand and now they're on the table and you put a mini on the board to represent them. Having them deployed/on the table is different than having them in your creature hand. Only the deployed creatures count towards your leadership total.

I was thinking of the minis and the cards as the same thing, and when you draw a card, you put the mini on the map.
So you keep three cards in your hand, and deploy your creatures out of that creature hand. Got it. Thanks!
