#2 thewok Aug 06, 2012 15:36:37	No.  The Giant Spider does not have cover from the Thug. The wall has no effect on the Thug.  Start tracing LOS from the top left corner of its square, and no line will cross that right-hand wall. ... draw a straight line from 1 corner of any square in the attacking creature’s space to any corner of at least 1 square in the target creature’s space.  If that line does not cross a wall, or a square occupied by another enemy creature or an obstacle, the attacking creature has line of sight to the target. Emphasis mine. Using the first criterion, we know that you don't have to trace LOS to every square in a creature's space.  Use the top right square of the Giant Spider.  You can trace from the Thug's square to every corner of that square of the spider's space without crossing a wall.  First criterion met. However, enemy creatures provide cover, and you're passing through a square belonging to an enemy creature to prove that line of sight.  That square belongs to the spider.  The second bolded part means that the spider can't provide cover to itself, so the second criterion also is met. Lack of cover confirmed.
