1. If you have the Drow Priestess and an arbitray spider in hand, when deploying them together, are you able to gain the benefit of the Drow Priestess when deploying the spider?

2. On a similar note, are you able to deploy the spider using the Drow Priestess' ability to a square the Drow priestess cannot draw line of sight too? For example, completely behind a wall?

3. For tournament play, is there a particular way the players should determine who sets up or reveals their half of the battlefield? Certain warbands would do well if they can dictate where line of sight can be drawn by rotating their tiles when placing them in response to an opponent.

4. On a similar note, when placing the smaller tiles, the rules only specify to play the Start Tile closest to your original seat. If two players are playing across the table from each other, would player B's setup be invalid?

If Player B's position is valid, is a battlefield where the two start areas are adjacent legal? Obviously there will be a wall directly in between the two start areas.

5. Sometime during my turn, I plan on tapping Creature A to aid Creature B in playing an order card. Which of the following scenarios are viable?

A. I activate Creature A, use it's move, play an assortment of minor order cards, and end activation adjacent to Creature B without performing an action which requires me to tap Creature A. I then activate Creature B, and then play an order card requring me to tap Creature A to aid.

B. I activate Creature B, tap Creature A to aid in playing an order card, and finish Creature B's activation. I then activate Creature A and perform any actions which don't require the creature to tap (since it already is).

5. The product question. I'm one of those crazy people who purchased multiple sets of both factions; however, in one of the sets, the box was missing a halfling sneak. The store I purchased it at said he doesn't handle defects and told me to find somebody on here to help me (last box I buy there) but I can't find any information on what to do Luckily the miniature is a reprint and I know I have it somewhere so I can still play with the set but paying top dollar for a board game with incomplete pieces is not right.

2.) Great question, one i don't know for certain what the answer is. The same question can be asked of the Umber Hulks move, where he shifts a target 3 Squares. The rule book says something along the lines of unless the move/card specifically says you don't need line of sight, then you need it... i don't have the book infront of me and im to lazy to look it up at the moment but thats the general idea of the statment. Would like confirmation from someone else on this.
-On a side note of this, there is no move or card that states that it doesn't need line of sight to work in the game, atleast not yet.

3.) Don't really play in them so i won't answer

4.) I don't know if im the best to answer this one either. IMO i would say its up to the people playing to decide if they want a variety of different map layouts then go for it!

Question 5.1 (you have two question 5's)
Answer: A. would be the correct way. in order to aid creature B creature A must be 1 square away. so he would need to be activated to move, then end his turn, then tap both of them after creature B is activated and you lay the card.

1. Thadden's correct.

2. You need line of sight for every ability that doesn't say otherwise (none currently say otherwise).

3. Sadly the official tournament rules are not very clear on this and I don't know of another source.

4. My belief is that this is legal.

All abilities need line of sight unless otherwise stated.

The 2 halves of the battlefield are built at the same time and must be revealed at the same time.

No, that is valid. All configurations that have the 2 large tiles able to be connected as part of a large square in the middle of the battlefield are valid. The "close to your seat" rule is just to have the field set up in such a way that you are not deploying at a spot across the table, etc.

Is there a set of rules other than what is in the box, or is that what you are referring to when you say "official tournament rules"?

There's a tournament rules document on the WOTC site, yeah. Chris linked it from a question about proxies, which it answers, but it's got a few other useful clarifications as well. (Though sadly not this issue.)
