I would like to suggest that you make two Dungeon Command packs that have a Dragonlance theme--I think there would be lots of fun and interesting options for the game, plus you would draw in all of the Dragonlance fans. Maybe Dragons of Desolation/Dragons of the Dark Queen for the dragonarmies and Champions of Ansalon/Council of Whitestone for the good races?I believe a dragon-themed pack would be a good addition, plus you could have great iconic Commanders and possibly even try a unique miniature or two. Just wanted to throw that out there--I would definitely buy, and I haven't bought any Dungeon Command packs yet. Please let me know if there is a more appropriate place to post this. Sincerely, Axethrower |

Starred miniatures would be new sculpts, and information about the sculpts is in italics. DUNGEON COMMAND: DRAGONS OF DESOLATION Large Red Dragon Dragon Highlord/Dragonarmy Officer*(sculpt should wear dragonarmor, cape, and dragonmask and carry a sword; it would be versatile enough to be used for Ariakas, Kitiara, any Dragonarmy Officer or even Verminaard)(STR, DEX, CHA, Humanoid, Evil) Lord Soth (Unique, STR, INT, some ability that complements Undead) Skeletal Warrior (Specter or repainted Undying Soldier)(possibly a Fear Aura ability) 2 x Baaz Draconian (basic weak fighter, STR or CON, possible ability related to turning into stone) Kapak Draconian (ranged attack, DEX, possible poison or death burst) Bozak Draconian*(death burst, possibly have both INT and WIS or INT and CHA) Minotaur Warrior 2 x Thanoi (Barbarian)*(Lvl 2 or 3 with STR, CON) Black-Robed Mage (possibly a repaint – currently no wizard miniatures with black robes)(INT, possible cool abilities would be Magic of Betrayal [remove 10 hp from an ally to make an INT ability do +10 damage] or Magic of Fear [Int abilities also allow you to slide the target 3 spaces]). (If you didn’t want to include Lord Soth and the Skeletal Warrior, or in place of the Black-robed Mage, you could include an Ogre Mercenary (maybe the Skullcrusher Ogre)or Human Mercenary or a Cleric of Takhisis. Including a Sivak Draconian would make this a killer set). |

Finally get more adventurers. Would love to see some Ravenloft, Dark Sun, etc. Fizban could have a built in what's that spell...let's see....finger...no....ferrett...no...fireball...yeah that's it! The things they could do with this game are limitless. |
| #5TimothyPrayJan 21, 2013 23:24:00 | I think Axethrower has an excellent idea. I have at least two of all of the first four sets, and I love this game even more than D&D minis. It’s simply the best miniatures game I’ve ever played. One of the things that D&D minis had going for it was a smattering of unique characters drawn from the considerable mythology and lore of Dungeons & Dragons. Although a character like Drizzt would be overpowering in the dungeon command context as a miniature, one could see him or Elminster as interesting dungeon commander options. A themed war band was a great idea at the outset of Dungeon Command. Having the opportunity to build a box set around a certain encounter or around a famous character would be lots of fun. I know that Dragonlance is not the default setting for the D&D next, but Axethrower’s idea makes sense in a broader context. To his specific point, perhaps this would work for one of his suggestions. Axethrower suggested this model: 2 x Baaz Draconian (basic weak fighter, STR or CON, possible ability related to turning into stone) This is my suggestion for how to handle and word the Baaz Draconian’s characteristic petro vacation upon dying: In the text box: If this creature was killed by melee attack, attach this card to that creature. Attached subtext: This creature’s melee attack deals -10 Damage. How does that sound? Axethrower, I’m thinking of creating a thread of possible unique and minis, and D&D personalities like Snig the Axe who would make good commander cards. I love this game! ~Tim |

Weis Productions had to drop their license and I don't know who has a right over it right now. And it's clear that WotC is trying hard to cut back on how many game worlds they support. I think right now it's FR or bust. |
