In Episode 3 of Hoard of the Dragon Queen, one of the contests I had Ontharr issue to the party was a riddling contest. I thought I'd share how I did it. It went well, but perhaps others have ways which it could be done.   To prep, I printed off some riddles from an online site. I made sure none of the riddles had modern references (cars, computers, etc.). I cut them into strips and threw them into a bag (making sure I had more than I thought I'd need). I provided my players with a rules for the riddling contest. The rules can be found here.   Let me know what you think or how you dealt with a riddling contest in 5e.
