| #1OculeDec 05, 2014 12:30:11 | So I decided to update this post as a service to those who require it and looking for feedback obviously on ways to improve it this has not been tested yet in game but it was created using the guidelines in the dungeon master's guide. I compared the experience given for Abishai with one of equal value ended up being the Barbezu devil which in the monster manual is CR3 so i have a platform now.
Black Abishai ****************************************************************************************************
This is the original stat block from 2e. http://www.padnd.com/monster_manual/mm00012.php

But crikey, that is a VAST amount of 2E XP for creatures with so few Hitpoints. Really not sure 3 of them are worth a Pit Fiend myself, I wonder if anyone could compare from play experience. |

| #4OculeDec 05, 2014 21:41:07 | The fiendish codex could work? I know that CR is done a bit differently now than it used ot be. I have a good idea of how to make them as far as abilities. I think maybe two claw attacks and a tail attack with poison would be good. The red Abishai could be around challenge rating 5 or 6? being the strongest one. Or i could opt for making them a monster race and using class levels like any other NPC.
Would a CR5 red abishai be a bit weak? |
