| #2NoctaemJan 27, 2015 11:04:04 | This reminds me of an old DnD legend. A party finds the severed head of very powerful demi-god. They metagame a bit between themselves and remember that an item exists within DnD which is actually this very same Demi-god's severed hand. And that if you severed your own hand and implanted the demi-god's hand on the stub you would then gain it's powers and abilities. Very powerful artifact stuff. So the party then rock paper scizzors as to which adventurer will get the severed head. The lucky winner then cuts off his own head... only to die. The party, unphased by this, sum up that it must have simply been done incorrectly and that the dead adventurer must have "done it wrong". They then resolve to try again.... |

| #6ConsumedRealityJan 28, 2015 17:22:17 | Kinda reminds me of the swordmage books, the main antagonist in the first 2 books had his hand cut off by the swordmage and he made a magical hand made of pure silver that fused to the stump, it had incredible strength. The swordmage later loses his hand by the same wizard, and in the last fight with the wizard the swordmage kills him then the hand detached from the body and the swordmage uses it, it was thinner and delicate modeled after the wizards elven hand. |
