| #1PhobosJan 18, 2015 14:10:05 | It has been year, I'm talking 20+ since I did my own adventures. In fact, best I recall, 30 years ago they were mostly graph paper dungeons and random monsters, story not included.
I want to reconstruct one for 5e and some friends. Look for advice or suggestions on the best way to do so. I'd like to start at 1, and go to maybe 15 as a safe spot.
I have not, but I'd assume, you need a basic outline, start, middle and end. That's easy, I could do a dozen of those, its the actual specific adventure stuff I'm not sure how best to layout.
Any tools out there that work to help guide me to the pieces parts? |

The 4e Forgotten Realms Campaign Guide may inspire you with something and/or somewhere. Also look through the 3.5 FRCG for contrast (4e jumped time forward 100 years, plus inserted a transition from 'expanding frontiers' to 'Points of Light').
Pick an area not far from your favorite Point of Light and make it into a budding frontier area. Move the Lost Mine to there. (For instance, Cormyr / Vilhon Reach.) You can now personalize your own Realms stories.
And: no recommendations for computer programs because I too use pencil-and-graph-paper to organize my thoughts. |
