| #1ForgiveJan 09, 2015 7:21:50 | 8x confusion or polymorph or polymorph then sleep....all for one 4th level slot.
I just don't know how to combat this spell. Numbers don't matter, basically giving the druid a Mass confuse/polymorph/sleep spell...not just one of them, but all of them. I can kill the invisibile pixies easy enough, especially with area of effect spells, but I don't want to tailor every other fight for the PC's, I want them to be challenged by all-commer encounters too.
Looking for advice here. |

Advice part two: Pixies are puny and have an incredibly low save DC, so while they might be able to do something awesome it is likely to be very short term since those concentration spell effects you are so worried about end when the pixie that cast them dies.
...oh, and depending on what those pixies roll for initiative, they might not even get their turn on account of having died already by the time their turn comes around.
Last, but not least: Require the player to actually speak the commands that their character gives to the pixies, and have the pixies do what it seems they are being asked to - but all the enemies get a shot at hearing the command too. And you should probably have the player keep their commands to things which can actually be said in about 6 seconds. |
