| #1SynjinDec 12, 2014 8:17:27 | Long story short, I want to start a game in my homebrew world with my old crew. It's going to be water based, with the BBEG being the Kraken, and Aboleths with other abberrations being the overall theme (The Great Old One at work. A juicy hook for our Warlock who's made the pact with him).
That being said, I broke open my 3E Manual of the Planes, because the Elemental Plane of Water is going to feature prominently, as are various aquatic and naval encounters, so I'm super happy to see that the 5E DMG had that section in it.
My question is, how to run the mechanics of the Plane itself. I'm going to be replacing the static "-2 to _____" with simple Advantage/Disadvantage, but is there any reason damages dealt from planar features should be tweaked at all? Most of the damage-dealing things still have "DEX half" or "CON negates", just like 5E.
Has anyone converted 3E stuff to 5E? Advice & Tips? |
