I'm starting up a game that I plan to take place in the current age of the Forgotten Realms Cormyr, but I can't find any information on the location. Could someone help me by pointing to where I could find anything. Thanks.

The Sword Coast supplement that will be released this fall might have some relevant material (e.g. a purple dragon subclass). Also, Fire in the Blood by Erin M Evans takes place in Cormyr in 1486. That could be relevant background for you. I think that the Sundering novels may also be a good idea to read. At least some of them may have relevant information (e.g. regarding the Dalelands close to Cormyr and the fate of Shade).

King Azoun V  was going to promulgate an edict that provided for trial by jury of YOUR peers, not your ACCUSER'S peers, just before the Spellplague broke out.  The edict was "temporarily" delayed because of unanimous noble opposition, but the King had stated he was going to keep working on this project until the day of his death.  I would treat this like Magna Carta: it looks like a symbolic thing but real consequences flow from it.

The Candlekeep website has some timelines &c which are mostly-up-to-date.  I don't recall clearly which novels have been included, and I'm not providing any link because exploring the place is better than being directed to a given point.  There is SO MUCH stuff to look at !

Part of the Sundering involves a Cormyr-Netheril war.  The King of Cormyr (Azoun's son) is killed, placing an untrustworthy uncle too-close to the crown.  I'm not sure if he or Azoun's grandson is assassinated shortly thereafter.  Pick whichever makes for better plotlines in your world.  Post-Sundering, Cormyr might be beset by dueling legitimate claimants to the throne.

Netheril is defeated by a large group of adventurers  who come to Cormyr's aid.  Among other events (as played out in an LFR module which I attended), the Epic-level adventurers execute Shar ( ! ) in punishment for her treatment of Mystra, and Cyric is deprived of his god-hood by the remaining adventurers.  The Most High Lord of Shade immediately resurrects Shar, at the cost of his own life.  But she is too weak to interfere further, or to keep track of her own existing plots.

In MyRealms, this defiance of the ban of the gods by a group of mortals has galvanized the rest of the gods into meaningful action within the world.  The Netherese pantheon - lead by Amanuator - is taking a hand in reclaiming the lands that used to be Anaurauch as fertile settle-able lands (think: North America after the Ice Age), among other things.  My campaign is not set near Cormyr, so I'll just be vague on this point and leave you room to invent your own stuff.

The HotDQ / Tiamat plotline happens near to Cormyr's western border (look up the Well of Dragons on a map).  The Cult of the Dragon does not attack Cormyr - possibly because it is too well-defended to get away with it - but there might be some treasure raids and very-public criminal activity by pre-existing Cult cells trying to raise more cash fast.

These are all intended to inspire you to think up plot hooks, not to constrain your campaign.  Feel free to dump anything you don't like.  (But give me credit for the parts you DO like  )

Ed Greenwood's Spellstorm is the most recent novel taking place in Cormyr a little before Greengrass (first day of spring) in 1488. It talks about Cormyr's political state a bit. I'm about 2/3 of the way through it and it's pretty interesting so far. Nothing that you could specifically base an adventure around, but the first chapter particularly might give you some ideas if you were dealing with the political side of things.
