Okay, I was struck by inspiration today.  Based on something I read called Human Reality (not lying, there is a book called Human Reality, and it came out in 2012), I had an idea for a campaign setting that's all 5e.   Titled: EAST OF EDEN   Premise: The human race is born on two continents, one in the Western Hemisphere; and one in the East.  The race in the East came about through Anthropological evolution, while the Race in the West were planted by -- for lack of a better term -- the gods.  Two other races had their start in the Western Hemisphere: Elves and Dragonborn.  While in the Eastern Hemisphere the other races showed up: the haflings, the gnomes, the dwarves, and the orcs.    The darker h. Sapiens journeyed to the west and soon, Miscongeneation amongst the humans of the gods and the humans of the earth started.   This resulted in hybrids (Mongoloid races, red men, blue men, green men, Amazons, etc).  Later on, the Humans of the Gods (White) left the hybrids in the east and took the elves and dragonborn with them.   It's thousands of Years later, and the people have created various nations with various social and technological development, but they lost all memory of the Land of Eden.   However, a new age is dawning . . .    ---------------- EAST OF EDEN is a Campaign Setting designed specifically for 5e and is based on a pseudo-medieval setting with beginners to D&D and it's concept clones.  It's Heroic Fantasy where the Player Characters are people who seek to be more than what they are.  They want to make a difference for themselves.  And perhaps, (re)discover the land of Eden.    I decided to ask which 2e books I should get to help me out in making the world (Besides the World Builder's Guidebook).  I can possibly purchase just one.  I'm also looking at 4e Dark Sun for inspiration, but if you want to suggest good 4e books, I won't stop you.      Oh, yeah . . . Mike Mearls.  Thanks for D&D 5e, but no thanks for your attitudes on the OGL.
