I am wondering about the Fog Cloud spell: it creates a heavily obscured area within the cloud. In terms of the spellcaster himself, would you say he is affected by his own Fog Cloud, or is he able to see through his own Fog Cloud and not suffer its effects? |

The description of the spell gives you the clues. It says the area is heavily obscured. It doesn't mention creatures, targets, enemies, allies, etc., so it's safe to assume that since no one type of target is either mentioned or exclusively left out, then the heavy obscuring of the fog affects everyone. |
