One old setting that does not get a lot of love is Council of Wryms. Even if you don't like this setting there is a lot of useful stuff in the old box. While I have never run or played in a Council of Wryms game since 1e I have tinkered with dragon and dragon slayer PCs and included regions under the rule of a dragon in most campaigns. Like other 2e era settings the influence of Coucil of Wryms is still felt. This setting introduced the Half Dragon that has mutated into the Dragonborn of the 5e PHB, it has spawned imitator settings by other publishers, and was the first official attempt at Race Classes and Dragon PCs.

So would anyone be interested in discussing conversions of Council of Wryms material to 5th edition?

For my part I will piggy-back this project on the back of my work to guide race creation for 5th.(see other thread)

Damn, I was hoping someone else would be interested. I'm more of a lurker than contributer. I had done some basic conversions for 3e council of wyrms, just a couple pages of basic notes, for playing dragons in 3e. I normalised everything though so dragons had the same hitdice, breath weapon damage, etc. The differences were all in the subtype of dragon which meant it was a tad more balanced and would hopefully mean that everyone wouldn't want to play the big dragons only.

Looks like its just you and me. Ah well. keep an eye on my example races thread especially now that my analysis of the core books is drawing to a close.

PS. like your Avatar, us non-human intelligences have gotta stick together.
