#1 pukunui Sep 17, 2014 2:22:56	One of the PCs in my Legacy of the Crystal Shard campaign is an acolyte of Torm, the FR deity of duty, loyalty and righteousness. One of his personality traits is that he sees omens everywhere and in everything.   I'd love to use this to spice up the campaign: flocks of birds flying south, dropped coins ending up in a certain pattern, and so on.   Anyone know of like a random omen generator or a list I could roll on or something? Barring that, feel free to post any good ideas you might have. The campaign is set in Icewind Dale, which is a frozen, wintry land.   The omens don't have to mean anything. I'll leave the meaning up to the player. I just want a list of ominous things I can throw into the game at random times to give him an opportunity to say, "I see an omen!"   Have at it!   Thanks, Jonathan

#7 pukunui Sep 17, 2014 14:19:52	Fantastic stuff! Thank you!   It's nice to see Lurue on the list too. One of the PCs is a fey pact warlock whose patron is the Unicorn Queen. I'll have to pass on their info to the respective players.
#8 DM_HEEGZ Sep 17, 2014 15:29:03	I would caution against just giving the information out. You could reveal it in-character via a NPC, such as a temple priest or a traveling paladin.  Having said that, I often use this info as a player to add depth to how I roleplay my religious PCs. I can't think of any DMs that used this type of fluff with NPCs and my PCs, but I really enjoy doing it.
