One encounter in particular actually more than doubles the deadly threshold. And this is before I've scaled them up to be suitable for 6 party members instead of 4.
Has anyone started this adventure yet? How did your party hold up? |

I too looked at what the encounters entail and noticed most to be deadly and one to actually be out of "range". I get my copy next week but it defiantly sounds like the creators did not have the rules when they created it or just flat out ignored them. I know I will be rebalanceing the adventure. |

| #5RhennyAug 14, 2014 21:41:19 | We just started it tonight. Our party of 5 rescued a family and brought them to the keep. We faced 3 separate groups of foes. It was tough, but luckily none of us went down.
My cleric was at 1 hp at one point and later when we fought rat swarms in the sewer, the fighter went down to 1 hp.
Overall, we have made it through 4 encounters with only 1 short rest. That's pretty good for 1st level pcs. |
