| #1WhirAug 18, 2014 19:58:36 | So in my homebrew, the world is being overtaken by genasi, those descended-from-elemental-beings guys from the 3.x FRPG (might be in 4e too, not entirely sure). In my world, they are not descended from anything, but a natural occurance in human propogation due to the nature of the world. Anyhow, they are about 50% of the world's "human" population, so I need a good, working race model for them for my players.
Genasi Traits Ability Score Increase. Your Charisma score increases by 2. Age. Genasi mature at the same rate as humans and live about as long. Alignment. Genasi are creatures of elemental nature and tend to gravitate towards neutrality. Size. Genasi are about the same size and build as humans. Your size is Medium. Speed. Your base walking speed is 30 feet. Darkvision. Thanks to your elemental heritage, you have superior vision in dark and dim conditions. You can see in dim light within 60 feet of you as if it were bright light, and in darkness as if it were dime light. You can't discern color in darkness, only shades of grey. Languages. You can speak, read, and write Common and one extra language of your choice.
Air Genasi Ability Score Increase. Your Dexterity score increases by 1. Low Density. You have resistance to thunder damage. Ride the Wind. You can cast the Levitate spell once per day.
Earth Genasi Ability Score Increase. Your Constituion score increases by 1. Tremorsense. You have tremorsense in a 20 foot radius. Immovable. You have advantage on saves against any affect that would move your character against your will. Ability Score Increase. Your Intelligence score increases by 1. Fiery Core. You have resistance to fire damage. Fiery Fury. You know the Firebolt cantrip. Intelligence is your attribute for bonuses and save DCs when you use this ability.
Water Genasi Ability Score Increase. Your Wisdom score increases by 1. Slippery. Once per day, you can escape physical bonds as per the Freedom of Movement spell, or squeeze through a space one size smaller than normal. Waterborn. You can cast the Water Breathing spell once per day. This spell only affects you. While under the affects of your own Water Breathing spell, you have a swim speed of 30 feet and do not need to make swim checks of any kind.

| #2PetardoMauritiAug 19, 2014 6:00:50 | Why charisma? In 4E they did not have charisma, intelligence was primary stat. This make them useful for some usual builds, because they were only race with str+int racial increase. |
