| #1YesVeryFreshJul 16, 2014 5:05:25 | One of my players wants to play a giant (specifically Kanye the Giant, based off a certain Key & Peele sketch which is a little NSFW so I won't link to it). I've been trying to figure out how to make this a balanced race, which might be unnecessary considering how silly the campaign is but I like making stuff. Any tips? Here's my 1st draft (this is my first time making a homebrew race, and I know a -1 stat might not fit in 5e but I think it might work):
Giant +2 Str, +2 Con, -1 Int (Should the -1 be Int, Dex, or just nonexistant? This is my biggest problem)
Size: Huge Base Height 17' Height Mod +2d12 Base Weight 4,500 Weight Mod x1d100
Alignment: Usually Chaotic Evil
Speed 30 ft
Languages: Common, Giant
All Big: You add your Con modifier rather than Dex to AC when wearing light/medium armor (max +2 with medium).
The World is Your SUV: You are proficient in Nature & Intimidate checks.
Giant Weapon Training: You are proficient with unarmed strikes (which deal 1d6 bludgeoning x your level/5, round up) and greatclubs.
So, what do you think? ("All Big" and "The World is Your SUV" are called that because of the sketch) |
