| #1fullm3talOptimusMar 28, 2015 20:17:31 | So one of my players is considering multiclassing as a paladin, currently a 3rd level fighter and the groups tank. So I've been looking into what will come with that and ended up checking out the smite spells the paladins have. Long story short, a 5th level spell, destructive smite, is listed in the begining of chapter 11 of the PH but there is no spell description for a spell by that name. However, there is a spell description for a destructive wave which coincidently no class has listed in their spell lists at the begining of the chapter.
Both spell are 5th level and what I have done is combined the general layout of all the other smite spells with the destructive wave. So, let me know what you guys think, too much? Not enough? Just right?
Destructive Smite 5th-level evocation
Casting Time: 1 bonus action Range: Self Components: V Duration: Concentration, up to 1 minute
The next time you hit a creature with a melee weapon attack before the spell ends, your weapon ripples with divine energy, and the attack deals an extra 5d6 thunder damage. The target must also make a Constitution saving throw. On a failed save, the target takes 5d6 radiant or necrotic damage (your choice) and is knocked prone. On a successful save, the target takes half damage and isn’t knocked prone.
THANKS!! |
