#1 FrankD20 Dec 15, 2014 12:47:33	I am currently running my players through Hoard.  They have just left Waterdeep following the loot and have arrived at the Carnath Roadhouse area at the end of the road.  According to the module, the Red Wizard Azbara Jos was with the treasure in Waterdeep...it doesn't specifically spell out that he then accompanies the wagons to the next destination, but it does mention that he winds up in Naeryntar Castle later.  I was wondering how others have ran this.  How does Jos wind up at the Castle, if he is with the treasure in Waterdeep?  I had him still accompanying the wagons, but then quickly disappear once the wagons rolled into Carnath, but that assumes he either quickly makes his way through the tunnels and through the swamp, which doesn't seem very Red Wizard-like, or he got there by some other means.  I'd be interested to hear how some of you handled it?  Thanks!
#2 BRJN Dec 16, 2014 6:09:47	The Red Wizards of Thay have magical abilities and "tricks up their sleeves" that they do not disclose to anybody else.  Hand-wave it, plus add a bit of mystery.   If you have a budding Wizard character who really wants to know, pick up the 4e Neverwinter Campaign guide and look for the section on the Shadow Path.  Azbara found / blazed a shortcut !   Alternately, Azbara's cloak could be a well-disguised (and very heavily tailored) Flying Carpet - the shortest route between any two points IS a straight line.
