| #1FitzMojoBobSep 25, 2014 16:42:06 | NOTE: I make a clear distinction in my game between RECOVERY and HEALING/CURING. Recovery is what you do simply to regain hit-points (fatigue, luck etc.), whereas Healing/Curing is what you have to do to fix Ability loss, mobility loss, blindness, etc. This proposal is strictly concerned with Recovery.
Copied and pasted directly from my blog:
NOTE: This is not my idea. I'm stealing this idea from somebody else. Just so we're clear. I don't remember exactly when or where I saw it, alas.
I realise the danger of this turning the party into a bunch of wildly violent and increasingly incoherent alcoholics reeling their way from one encounter to the drunken next, but I like the trope so much that I'm willing to accept that peril.

| #4FitzMojoBobSep 26, 2014 18:33:45 | Well, I was assuming it would be the characters quaffing vast quantities of imaginary booze. However, far be it from me to dictate how, or in what state, anybody should play their games. If the players want to chug down wine and ale in the search for gaming verisimilitude, they can go for it as far as I'm concerned.
I take no responsibility for the consequences, of course. |
