#1 transcendantviewer Jan 11, 2015 19:08:45	I read through the DMG and found the entry about monster races as NPCs and wanted to hear from all of you to determine if these races mentioned would be appropriate player races as well.
#2 Macv12 Jan 12, 2015 1:17:39	Aarakocra might get crazy with monk bonuses to speed, and at-will flight is a pretty powerful effect. Aside from that the playable races seem like the best of the bunch, and some of those monster races are distinctly useless. I haven't looked into racial traits in great detail, so I'd be interested in hearing the opinion of someone who has, but tentatively I'd say that any player wanting one of those races is really only hobbling themselves.
