Is my campaign idea good?

I was supposed to come up with a mini-adventure that would only last about an hour and a half, and this was my idea:

-In the city of Fell's Landing, the lord, Ardor Fell, is crestfallen to find that his only son, Adrian, has been kidnapped (supposedly by goblins). However, a goblin was found trying to exit the city the day after and is being held captive by Ardor.

-Ardor calls the party to his office, where they interrogate the goblin. After a while, the goblin says that their hideout is at the heart of the nearby woods, in a cave marked by a white skull emblem. When Ardor presses for more, the goblin escapes and kills himself by jumping out a window.

-Ardor sends the party in search of Adrian, where they come across a few assorted encounters of goblin and troll types.

This is just a basic outline but I want the more experienced DMs to tell me what they think, and also give me some tips for DMing. Thanks!

I think its a fun into and adventure scenario!

Have the goblins be slave ot the trolls who kidnap children to transform them into goblinoid using vile magic from their shaman Uro-gol!

There could be thouls as well, which are a magical crossbreed between a ghoul, hobgoblin and troll  (use hobgoblin + troll regeneration trait) thrown in there for more originality!

The basic idea is sound - questgiver gives quest to PCs. Some questions you might want to consider:

1. Do you really want to have an interrogation scene with the goblin? That can often become an eye-gouging, fingernail-pulling torture exercise.

2. If you do want to have an interrogation scene, is there an uncertain outcome? Can the PCs fail to get the information they need to continue the quest? What's at stake? If they can fail, what do they lose, bearing in mind your adventure is over in that dark forest?

3. What if the PCs prevent the goblin from escaping and killing himself?

4. What if the PCs refuse the quest from Ardor Fell? What if they demand a lot of gold to do it?

5. What are the goblins doing in the forest? What nefarious goals are they pursuing that will be bad for the world if they succeed? Why did they want Fell's son and what will they do with him if the PCs fail to get him back?
