Level advancement "loose sheet" rules in Starter Set?

On page 12 of the Lost Mines of Phandelver adventure book, it says:

"Level advancement rules for characters are provided on loose sheets included in this set. Hand these sheets to the players, and allow them to advance their characters to 2nd level before continuing the adventure."

The only "loose sheets" in my box are the pregens and the ad sheet that has a blank character sheet on the back.

This paragraph obviously isn't referring to the pregen sheets, since the characters have had those for awhile already at this point. But, the pregen sheets do have 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th level info.

I'm assuming that this is text from something that was changed, but the text was accidentally not updated. Is there anything else to this that anyone knows of?

I am assuming it is also an accident and that they are refering to the level advancement currently rolled into the pregen sheets.

Yeah that info is on the back side of the pregen char sheets. Maybe they will fix it in the second edition run of the Starter Set.

...when I read that I assumed that the author had (correctly) assumed that I was going to print blank character sheets, write in the pre-generated characters' information, and keep the printed versions mark-free - and thus would have them in the box as "loose sheets" to hand out so players could copy down their advancements upon leveling up.
