Hi everyone, I'm trying to make a reference sheet/list of possible challenges and non-combat encounters to inspire my imagination when building an adventure.   Here's my list so far.

Please add if you think of something.   Let's make this a DM resource that people can use.   Thanks.

Challenges and other Non-Combat Encounters

  • Cover up a murder.
  • Stage a robbery.
  • Start a fire.
  • Steal something really big. (Grand Theft Airship.)
  • Stop a plague from spreading (the ends justify the means).
  • Establish an ironclad alibi.
  • Summon your patron into the world.
  • Kidnapping/Inconspicuous disappearances. (Need for patron summoning.)
  • Fight off a powerful entity's influence.
