#1 Doc225 Sep 13, 2014 14:10:47	How has everyone played with the backstory of the pregent rogue? Does him being a former RedBrand mean he knows everything in the "What the Red Brands know" sidebar? The group has only been in existence for 2 months, and Iarno himself ordered the hit, so How does that play out for you? I simply altered it so that he wasn't a former Red Brand, but instead someone who was rejected from membership or was 'working' in town against the Red Brands' wishes an got run out.  Thoughts?
#2 Staccat0 Sep 13, 2014 19:37:22	Honestly my Rogue player told me and the other players something like, "I used to run with these guys before Glassstaff took over and tried to have me killed. I had to get out of town. We were into some bad business, but nothing like this."   I feel like that is the intention. The influence of Glasstaff and co have turned the Red Brands into something different than what the chracter knew. I would just use the books as a guide and do what seems the most fun.
#3 gregsc Sep 13, 2014 19:49:17	In my game the rogue only knows what's in his background. The rest of it is information that wasn't widely known among the Redbrands before the character left town, but has become widely known since then.   If they encounter Iarno, I'll probably play him as not even remembering the character, or trying to have him killed. That should get the player good and wound up.

I had to get out of town. We were into some bad business, but nothing like this."   This is how it is working out in my campaign - the fermale halfling rogue is now going back disguised as a male. I have added a subplot where the former colleague who persuaded Glasstaff to put out the hit is now trying to pressure the rogue's aunt into giving up her farm by pretending to be her friend  while blocking up the spring that irrigates her crops and poisoning her animals so that the Redbrands get it at a knockdown price - all very Manons  des Source!
