Make the maps available online

Please Wizards when Gencon is done or so make the maps for Horde of the Dragon Queen avalable on the website. I just saw the prviews and being able to use them in my digital games would be very nice. 

 

Also making the artwork from the starter set and Horde of the Dragon Queen of the monsters and such downloadable would be really apricated as well. I will own the physical copies but I have no way of taking that stuff from the book and putting it online.

It would be very nice if they sold digital versions of all their adventure modules, with Images of the maps and PDFs of the adventures for people who play online.  Probably concerned about piracy though...

Yeah, I was going to ask about this. The maps in the book are absolutely gorgeous, but I really need something I can print for the table or use for VTT.

I already know of the starter set maps. I bought them from the artist as he sold them. (Player versions too) They are high quality and great for play. Even if it's the same I want those avalable as well.

He also says he'll put them up for sale on his webshop if there's enough demand. He can't sell digital prints due to WoTC contract though. Hopefully WoTC will offer those.

I agree with everyone, but I kind of feel like we won't get the maps online any time soon. The reason is twofold:

 (i) They've already released a 5e adventure in the Starter Set, and another is basically coming out as we speak, and neither has had maps made available. I e-mailed Mike Schley and asked him why the maps weren't available from Wizards. He said he didn't know, since to his mind it was a no-brainer to make them available, which is why you can get the Starter Set maps from his web site. To my mind, since it's obvious to everyone that the maps should be available but they aren't, this seems to indicate Wizards has no interest in making the maps available;

 (ii) That whole morningstar thing seems to be Wizards' new attempt at their own VTT (albeit in a partership/licensee sort of way). Releasing the digital maps online for us to use in other VTTs could undercut Wizard's efforts to launch their own digital platform. I'm not a big fan of this, since I've already invested in Roll20 and I don't have much interest in starting over on a new platform, but it seems like Wizards is going that way, hence other than as some sort of digital add-on package in morningstar, we likely won't ever see adventure maps made available (other than through intrepid third parties like Mr. Schley who make them available independently of Wizards).
