Heyyyyy so. For my adventure I had the idea that one of the planes of my universe would be a.modern day thing. Like maybe a god of industry's plane so that it is essentially d&d but in modern day chicago. So while the start of the story arc is them chasing after a Rouge sorcerer it ends with him feeling into a portal to a different plane lading him in there. So if the adventurers decide to follow that's how it would be. But trying to modernize d&d is kind of challenging. So I thought I would come to you guys with ideas or settings, they can be anywhere just trying to piece together a story and an environment that they may want to stay and adventure a bit ya know. Let's work together to make an awesome world

It may be really challenging to throw your party into a completely modern setting. That would be a massive shock to what is essentially a mideval people. How do you explain all the people, noise, cars, and buildings? It might be easier to look at an earlier time period that still fits the modern feel. Maybe the early industrial age taken to the extream. Really play up the concept of industry. You could have the modern industry blended with fantasy to make a really interesting setting that players won't feel completely alien in.
