If you add classes to a monster (or create a NPC using the PHB, as suggested in the DMG), do you allow feats for them? Or are feats exclusive for PC's?

I guess it depends on how challanging you want to make them. I would assume that giving feats to your NPC will make them noticably more powerful as well.

My Monsters and NPCs have the abilities I think they should have, without need of systematic justification.

So would give them a feat, or some of the rules from a feat if I think it works for them.

My style admitidly is kinda counter to the more rigid idea of using classes for NPCS but I think the principle still vaguely stands.

Something you could do is take the feat you are going to give to the nemesis and break it up into two/three traits and give the nemesis minions one or two of the traits as appropriate.
