#1 dwarf_shortage0 Jan 02, 2015 20:24:10	Hi, I'm very new to D&D, and my friend and I are using roll20.net to play right now. We have a very, very basic understanding of the rules, but don't get a lot of stuff, and we need a vet DM to help out. We are trying to get into it, but its hard to do when you only have 2 people and can't find others who know how to play. If somebody could be our DM in an online lobby on roll20, it'd be very, very appreciated.

#4 OoftaMeg Jan 04, 2015 8:30:53	I'd help if I could but the few times I tried online DMing ... well it wasn't pretty because I tend to do things very much on the fly.   However, there are online videos - google WOTC Mines of Phandalver to get an idea of how to run the game.  There are other people who have podcast their sessions as well.   In theory WOTC is going to publish more online "how-to" videos, but I wouldn't expect much for at least a few months.  You can always post specific questions on this board.
#5 Coredump00 Jan 04, 2015 9:13:19	WIth only the two of you... is there a reason you need to use Roll20?  While learning, it may be easier to just do it in person, if that is an option.   You may even be able to find some local players/DMs. (Depending on location, age, etc.)
#6 DungeonKrusher Jan 04, 2015 16:32:11	I don't mean to be offensive, but D&D is about sitting down around a table with friends. You can get the numbers aspect of the game by playing online, but I STRONGLY recommend you find places that are gaming and join in there. There should be a locator on the Wizards site for this! It will help you learn rules, but also help you learn how the rules exist in realtime, and also will help you network.   Good luck! Have fun!
