I am cross-posting this here at @autolycus's suggestion.  I've created a bunch of free tools to help automate some of the more fidgety things that we need to do as DM's and players.  As an example, I've created a PC Attribute Point-Buy Calculator which is basically a worksheet which lets you choose a race and then set your attributes using the standard point-buy method.   Here is a link to the other thread, which in turn contains links to all of the tools:   http://community.wizards.com/forum/product-and-general-dd-discussions/threads/4170046     If there are any other simple tools you'd like to see automated, please post your suggestions.   --Leugren
