New Siege Weapons and Ammunition

So I wrote up some new siege weapons and ammunition over at my blog. I wanted some more fantastical things for my world as well as some variety in amunition for cannons and catapults. Let me know what you think. Thanks!

The siege weapons are good, from what I can gather, but the same problem with them remains: There's no prices for them. In a world where everything has a purchase price (Even some magic items if the DM allows it), Siege Weapons do not. This makes things complicated for players trying to build a kingdom. How do they defend it? How can they build such things if there's no listed price? Seeing as you're involved with Siege Weapons in the DMG, I'd like to run an idea by you. For Siege Weapons, use the following formula to calculate their gold cost: A * B *10gp. Where A equals the Siege Weapon's HP and B equals the number of five foot squares the siege weapon takes up on a square battle grid. This means that a Siege Tower costs 200 * 16 * 10 (Or 32,000 gp). Does this sound reasonable?

May 05, 2015 14:34:33 Just a couple things I noticed. For the arcane cannon, acid canister, if it sprays in a cone, wouldn't the ground be covered in acid? Rolling around on the ground would cover them in more acid, unless acid is neutralized by touching dirt :P For cannon, chain shot, I understand the intent, but chain shot wasn't designed to tear cloth. It used against sails because the balls would spread and increase the chance of striking the mast. Instead of increasing damage against cloth, have it deal more damage against wooden supports, or advantage or a greater chance to hit. Just my 2 cents. Also, similar to the arcane cannon and variant ammunition, have a ballista that fires bottles of acid, alchemist fire, holy water, etc.

Oh, and if you'd like to pass it along, I've heard that there were a few qualms with water vehicles as well. Namely, with sizes and how many people could fit in them.
