| #1Brodomir_RumblegutAug 14, 2014 5:37:20 | I'm looking for feed back on a faerie dragon build. I used the info for a psuedodragon as a base since faerie dragons traditionally have been closely related. I changed the sting (minor damage and low DC debuff) to a breath weapon (area effect, low DC debuff), added invisibility (allows for surprise and hiding/fleeing; traditional ability from other editions) and prestidigitation (fluff – they do love their pranks). I guess the big question is whether invisibility overbalances for the lost of the damage from sting and should push the CR from ¼ to ½. Write is below; let me know what you think
Faerie Dragon Tiny dragon, neutral good Armor Class 13 (natural armor) Hit Points 7 (2d4 + 2) Speed 15 ft., fly 60 ft. The faerie dragon has advantage on Wisdom (Perception) checks that rely on sight, hearing, or smell. Magic Resistance. The faerie dragon has advantage on saving throws against spells and other magical effects. Limited Telepathy. The faerie dragon can communicate simple ideas, emotions, and images telepathically with any creature within 100 feet of it that can understand a language. Spell-like Ability. Prestidigitation:The faerie dragon has an innate ability to use the cantrip Prestidigitation. A c t i o n s Bite. Melee Weapon Attack: + 4 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 4 (1d4 + 2) piercing damage. Euphoric Gas Breath (Recharge 5-6). The faerie dragon exhales a iridescent cloud of gas that extends in a 15-foot cone. Each creature must succeed on a DC 11 Constitution saving throw or become poisoned for 1 hour. If its saving throw result is 6 or lower, the target falls a stupor for the same duration, or until it takes damage or another creature uses an action to arouse it. Invisibility. The faerie dragon turns invisible until it attacks or casts a spell (it may still use its spell-like ability), or until its concentration ends. Anything the invisible faerie dragon is carrying or wearing is invisible as long as it remains in contact with the faerie dragon. |
