Before you approve it, figure out if he's planning on taking magic initiate, or multiclassing, and where he plans to go with it. Doesn't sound like this is the case, but it can't hurt to understand your players' long term goals anyway. |

Magic Initiate for Shillelagh should probably be Veto'd, as should multi-classing to Druid. I wouldn't have a problem with multi-classing to Cleric, though, as long as it's not a nature cleric.
That's it as far as I can see. I would definitely listen to Nevvur's advice though - talk to the player now and save yourself some trouble later.

| #7SeuleslintanApr 19, 2015 8:45:35 | nobody restrict this player not to set a high (12+) charisma score too
i dont see only little game balance issues (only wisdom save and main attribute then) vs 2 stats a normal paladin got to raise to get a good wis save and good casting ability
because i play RAW i would not allow the change |

Really, if you play RAW, the paladin can still get away with a low charisma. Just don't pick spells that require savings throws/attack rolls. There's a few smites spells that don't need them, if memory serves, and you can just spend the spell slots on the big damage boosting powers as well. The core Vengeance powers also don't need charisma. I guess some of your auras would suffer though.

Brooding and vengeful in true form, charming as his fake Bruce Wayne persona.
Strong personality focused on seeking justice and taking down criminals but not a real charmer as himself.
Just a thought. |
