In the stat blocks for monsters in the Lost Mine of Phandelver adventure, is their "to hit" bonus listed the final bonus, or do you still apply their ability modifier?
For example, the Twig Blight has a strength of 6, which means an ability modifier of -2. Under "Actions" for the Twig Blight, it has:
Claws. Melee Weapon Attack: +3 to hit, reach 5ft, one target...etc.
So, is it +3 to hit, or is it +3, then apply the -2 strength modifier, for a final +1 to hit?
Thanks... |
