Question: Beasts on Athas; Tigers?

I'm in my first Dark Sun campaign and am having a lot of fun playing a druid; but our group isn't sure about options for his Wild Form.

Does anyone by chance have a list of the beasts on Athas?

And, in a more specific and less far-reaching question, are there tigers on Athas?  I know there aren't cats; but there are lions; so... no cats, but yes big cats?

Any help on this would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks.

I would take more of an approach that is "no cats, but yes big desert-and near-desert-dwelling cats."

There are lions because lions live in regions that are hot and relatively dry like the African plains

There probably aren't many tigers, if any at all, since tigers live in forest regions like those in eastern Russia.

Aaron: true; but tigers are in hot forests (like india); and the Cresent Forest around Nibaney would certainly fit that discription...

the dungeons wiki identifies tigers' environment as "warm forests" -- http://dungeons.wikia.com/wiki/SRD:Tiger

Found this thread from the forums:  http://community.wizards.com/forum/other-published-worlds/threads/1101881

Also, a quick look at the old 2.0 DS books, under Encounters, it shows spotted lion, leopard. jaguar, and common lion as Athas beasts.

Just make sure any such creature is described with a third eye, an extra couple legs (may or may not be insect-like), odd coloration, or bearing strange antennae.

My Tiamat group's Ranger/Druid player wanted to wildshape into a dinosaur (he's from Chult), but use Tiger stats mechanically.  I let him, and got a Velociraptor.  You can use the Tiger stats for any about-that-size creature you want.  Jaguar would be appropriate for a near-tropical forest.
