Quick Reference: Spells with GP component costs

So most component costs are covered by a component bag or focus, and religated to adding flavor to the combat.  The exception is components that have a gold piece value, these must be explicitly purchased and are frequently consumed.  This cost is often an important balance consideration for these spells.

While this is something that should be maintained by the player, as a DM knowing which spells require these components will help you make sure your players have, and are spending them, as they should.  Here is a list of the spells that require these components, their costs, and if they are consumed.

 

NOTE:  These are just spells from the basic rules.  I will try to add more as they become available

 

Arcane Lock (25gp gold dust, consumed)
Astral Projection (jacinth worth 1000gp and silver bar worth 100gp PER TARGET, consumed)
Augury (25gp in tokens, not consumed)
Divination (Offering worth 25 gp, consumed)
Find the Path (divinatory tools worth 100gp, not consumed)
Gate (Diamond with 5000gp, not consumed)
Greater Restoration (Diamond worth 100gp, consumed)
Heroes' Feast (gem-encrusted bowl worth 1000gp, consumed)
Holy Aura (Reliquary worth 1000gp, not consumed)
Identify (Pearl worth 100gp, not consumed)
Imprisonment (special component worth 500gp per HD of the target, not consumed)
Mordenkainen's Sword (miniature sword worth 250gp, not consumed)
Raise Dead (Diamond worth 500gp, consumed)
Resurretion (Diamond worth 1000gp, consumed)
Revivify (Diamonds worth 300gp, consumed)
Stoneskin (Diamond worth 100gp, consumed)
True Resurrection (diamonds worth 25,000gp, consumed)
True Seeing (ointment costing 25gp, consumed)
Warding Bond (2 platinum rings worth 50gp each, not consumed)
