| #1AdrastusDarkeJul 19, 2015 7:13:35 | Hey guys.
I've been playing a lot of mordheim (the table top) recently and It's given me an idea for a campaign.
The campaign will be focused on a group of explorers in mordheim of the pc's choosing of course and will be pretty much a freeform sandbox (as all my games are) within the city and surrounding areas searching for riches.
The idea is for multiple runs with new groups of adventuring folk/skaven/cultists within the city with one warband replacing the other when the previous one comes to a satisfying conclusion ( either a long term goal of the pc's is met or they die most likely).
The reason this will be using 5e is that I don't like the warhammer fantasy role play system so please no suggestions of that.
I have created this thread to gather ideas on how to represent certain things mechanically which I will list here.
1. Skaven as a race. So far I'm thinking of +2 dex and +1 int but I have no idea what racial traits to use for them. 2. How to handle the warplock pistol. They are magical so maybe a magic flintlock from the dmg would work but what would be it's properties? 3. If the players decide to make a chaos warband then beastmen should be playable, is there a race that already does them well or do you think a new race is needed? Maybe half orc? 4. In this period of warhammer history armour is expensive and magic is illegal so how should I go about this? How much should I increase armour price if at all and how should I go about representing a lack of magical knowledge? I would like this to be fair for both martial and magical pcs. Any ideas on these points would be appreciated and I'm also open to suggestions about other things. Thank you in advance for your help. |
