I wrote up a few on my blog, but I'm curious what other hazards people have used with success that were easy to run at the table. |

* Piranha infested rivers * Balancing over a fallen tree. * Falling rocks while climbing a cliff. * Mud slide * Quicksand
In cities
* A carriage toppling * cargo falling over * A spooked horse * A mob of angry/fleeing civilians or a riot * Someone emptying a privy on the street
At sea
* A large area of sargasso that can entangle the ship * A reef * Sand banks * Floating debris * Burning debris after a naval battle
In dungeons/caves
* A collapsing floor * A collapsing tunnel * Lava flow that the players must outrun * Climbing a steep slippery wall with water rushing down * A heavy rusted gate with a broken gear box (players must use their own strength to lift it) * A hole that only small or tiny creatures fit through (shapeshifting comes in handy here) * A bricked up passage |
