Wanted to get some opinions on gaming with Skype and Google Hangout. Has anyone used these for gaming? If so what do you prefer. We are looking to get one player in our game involved this way while the rest of the group is at the table. We aim on using a tablet so we can all see him and I'd also like to have him up on a window on my personal labtop too so he can see and hear me better since I'm DM.  We know we will need good speakers to hear this player but was wondering what else to consider. Trying to get a long time group member involved who hasn't been able to make it out.

High speed internet on both ends, besides good speakers, he needs a good mic so he is picked up well, and you need at least a decent mic on his connect to the "dm" call. Just how techincal is your knowledge and how much tech skill and experince do you have in this manner? What kinda of tablet do you plan on using. The more details you give on this, the more people will both be inclined and able to help

You might want to get a conference meeting microphone. They have ones as low as $70. If your going to be playing long term it would be worth while.
