Starting gold for non-level 1.

I know we are still fresh into this new edition of D&D, but I was curious if anyone had calculated good starting gold for non-level 1 campaigns.

 

I ask because my group is starting a campaign at level 4, and my DM asked me to find a good starting gold for us. We will be going against threats that are comparable for level 4, so I want to make sure we are strong enough for this.

Starting equipment is sufficient. If you're too unsure, throw a potion of healing in for every level above 1st. Magic items are not included in the balance between PCs and monsters, so you don't need special equipment for them. ;)
