| #1XuubMar 16, 2015 6:14:52 | I have a player who would like to play a race made of stone. Sort of like Obsidimen from Earthdawn. Would it be too unbalancing to a game to have a race with the benefits of the Stoneskin spell? Basically it's permanent resistance to nonmagical bludgeoning, piercing, and slashing damage.
Just curious what other DMs think... |
| #2SeuleslintanMar 16, 2015 6:39:29 | Barbarian Rage gives you 1 minute (10 rounds) resistance to bludgeoning, piercing, and slashing damage War Cleric gets with lvl 15+ the same effect permanent
for a race bonus? not even with 0 Stat Bonus, no Infravision
maybe give the race 1 charge for some rounds per day?
the goliath race gets 1w12+con damage reduction per day! |

| (Reply to #3)DMStevenH | I say, give him resistance to slashing and peircing and vulnerability to thunder and disadvantage on saving throws against thunder damage. |
| #6DwarfLordSevenMar 16, 2015 21:54:08 | Maybe they want to play an Earth Genasi? |
| #7CatodonMar 16, 2015 22:50:32 | As above in some games the community frequently 're-skins' races etc. but the idea is under utilised in D&D |
