#1 EricKollman May 24, 2015 8:48:29	I know that a character who has been surprised can not take a move or an action during the first round of combat.  I was wondering, though, whether he can do a free activity on that first round (such as shouting to other players or interacting with one object)?
#2 AaronOfBarbaria May 24, 2015 9:02:59	That's the DM's call to make, but interacting with an object is only ever "free" when it is done as part of an action, so that at least seems out of the question since you can't take an action while surprised.
