#1 thanson02 Feb 10, 2015 15:06:33	Hey everyone.   So I am running a 5E game and one of my players is a Tiefling Paladin who is a follower of Kelemvor.  According to his story background, he became the Chosen of Kelemvor to be the god’s representative and to fight off the upsurges of undead.  That is what lead him to adventuring.  The player and I got talking about what that would look like on the character sheet.  What we thought would work the best was to either find or create a template, similar to the Chosen of Bhaal in the Murder in Baldur’s Gate Adventure.   Looking at the MiGB, the Chosen of Bhaal Template is really strait forward, 4 abilities in addition to your standard options.  The first three are fairly general and I feel can be used by any of the Chosen.  The last one, Death Magic, seems fitting for Bhaal and that is the feature I want to change for Kelemvor and I was thinking somthing that effects necromatic magic and undead, but I am running into writer’s block.   Any ideas?
#2 durntaur Feb 10, 2015 16:52:16	Seems generous to apply those traits to the paladin. Why don't you reflavor Murder Magic to affect undead only? Call it Bane of the Undead or something.
#3 thanson02 Feb 13, 2015 6:34:23	Like I said, I am reskinning a preexisting D&D Next template and trying to work with what I have. One of the things I was thinking of having it be a state he enters, kinda like the berserker rage, but once a day, dismissed with an action or if he passes out. And simplify it is not bad, like advantage on saves and checks vs. immunities and automatic success. That way your not too overpowered.
#4 supreme_slayer Feb 17, 2015 12:27:33	If you are making it something similar to rage, why not just have them take a level in Barbarian to represent it? Would it completely destroy their build? If not, I see no reason why this couldn't be used as a representation of these abilities.
