| #1DudeofLegendJan 17, 2015 20:18:22 | So, I have taken stats from the creator of Ebberrons blog and a bunch of other suggestions through out the web and came up with this. Thoughts on balance? Thoughts in general?
Ability Score Increase: +2 CON
Age: They are essentially immortal but without upkeep their bodies will degrade over time.
Size: Medium
Speed: Walking Speed 30 ft.
Living Construct: Even though you were constructed, you are a humanoid. You are immune to disease. You do not need to breathe, eat or drink, but you can ingest food or drink if you wish.
Unsleeping Sentinel: Warforged don’t need to sleep. Instead, they settle into a resting state, remaining semiconscious for 4 hours each day. While in this rest state, you are fully aware of your surroundings. After resting in this way, you gain the same benefit that a human does from 8 hours of sleep.
Warforged Resilience: You have advantage on saving throws against poison and you have resistance against poison damage.
Self-Stabilizing: You have advantage on death saving throws.
Languages: Can read and write Common
Subtypes: Multiple types of warforged are found among the worlds, choose one of these types

Random thought: immune to poison with the trade off, "takes half from healing magic" thingy? |

Immune to poison with half magical healing is likewise a terrible trade off. Poison damage is not nearly as present as magical healing so this feature will make the warforged relatively softer target compared to the other races. That is assuming that in-combat healing in 5E is viable strategy, but so far my impressions are that this is somewhat true. If you are going to reduce the healing they receive, then they need critical hits immunity, since the treat of critical hit is present in every encounter. Either that or repair damage line of spells into the game. |

Maybe you're just overcomplicating things. |
| #6LlenlleawgJan 19, 2015 5:35:49 | In the final playtest, the warforged has +1 each to Str and Con, +1 bonus to AC (Composite plating), and Living Construct (count as humanoid, immune to disease, no need to eat or breathe [I imagine, or drink] but may eat or drink if desired, no sleep but sleep-like state for 4 hours in which no dreaming and fully aware of surroundings, noticing approaching enemies or surrounding events as usual), speak/read/write Common plus one other. |
