I'm working on some prior edition conversion to 5e and can anyone tell me where Traps has been discussed (or used) in any of the material released so far?  Either Starter Set, Basic Rules, PHB, or even Hoard of the Dragon Queen?

I don't need hard and fast rules, even just an example of a trap and how they work with PC XP.  I don't recall any traps in the Starter Set adventure which I find odd.

I see one trap in LMoP.  Floor trap, worth 100XP split between the party.  Any others?

There are two right at the beginning on the goblin trail - a pit trap and a snare. They seem to have a combined worth of 25 XP for each PC, assuming a party of 4 or 5.

The devs have talked about how traps will work differently in this edition, but I have yet to see any evidence of that.

There are some other traps in Lost Mines of Phandelver, in  the Redbrand Hideout and Cragmaw Castle. There some trap-like situations in other areas including webs and an unusual fungus.

As befits the starter set these are all very simple. I expect to see more interesting traps in the DMG and maybe in Tyranny of Dragons too.
