#2 intently Nov 25, 2014 9:10:40	I never played 4e, so catastrophic dragons are new to me. That said: very cool! After reading your descriptions, my favorite aspect of catastrophic dragons is that they prey on lesser chromatic dragons... who would normally consider themselves the top of the food chain. I can see all sorts of roleplaying opportunities for evil dragons to ally with powerful adventurers to take down a catastrophic dragon.   As for the stats, I notice that the wyrmling is CR 4 and the young is CR 10; I believe that other dragons advance 7 CR for each age level. Not a big deal, obviously. However, should there even be any catastrophic dragons that aren't Ancient?   I'm not familiar with 4e, but it would be awesome for catastrophic dragons to have some characteristic that enables them to prey on ancient chromatic dragons. They could be just plain stronger, or they could have some sort of elemental expertise that allows them to bypass the resistances of ancient chromatics.
