#1 moonbeast Sep 09, 2015 4:09:37	Hi all,   I'm trying to fill a lore gap in my head (having skipped D&D 3e and 4e altogether), and was wondering about the existence of the Warforged.  As far as my research goes, it seems they are native to Eberron.  But then I was flipping through the website Forgotten Realms Wiki, and was surprised that there is an entry for the Warforged.   Hmm, does this imply that the Warforged do (or did) have a presence in Faerun at some point?      http://forgottenrealms.wikia.com/wiki/Warforged   Or was this simply a matter of some D&D designer (e.g. Mike Mearls) saying at some point "Well the Warforged really are native to Eberron, but I don't see why any DM couldn't stick them in their own campaign world. So go right ahead."

#11 Ahrimon Sep 12, 2015 6:15:58	The backstory of the warforged for the homebrew I'm working on is that they were created by the elves.  Afterall the warforged are plant matter around a stone skeleton with metal plates outside.  It's a big ritual where the stone is shaped, the plant parts grown around it, the outer skin attached, and then they are awakened and ready to defend the elven lands from outsiders.  I'm also borrowing the giant plant dragon from Maleficent for the elves.
